Raaji is an animated series that uses powerful storytelling to educate young girls in Pakistan about taboo topics such as honor killings, child abuse, sexual harassment, child marriages, menstruation, and to inspire them to take up activities such as entrepreneurship, cycling, boxing, self-defense. We have received an incredible responsible with our mobile screenings in schools, hostels and community centers in urban and rural areas of Pakistan especially Tharparkar.

Raaji is a conversational / chatbot agent that answers questions around reproductive health especially Menstrual Hygiene. Our pilot programs improve health outcomes of girls ages 10-16 years by deploying a technology-based menstrual health and hygiene curriculum in schools using engaging activities. We also conduct pre and post assessment to analyse knowledge gaps and gain insights that are showcased on our data dashboard

After launching several offline and online campaigns around women’s education, safety, reproductive rights and economic empowerment, we realized that for true scalability of our impact and sustainability of our work, technology had to play the biggest role.
Every year, we take part in an international celebration called the DO Day which is led by a German Organisation called The Do. purpose of this day is to drive local change on important global topics collectively.
This unique concept was designed by Aurat Raaj in which our trained women digital leaders called Raaji menstrual champions receive important Chatbot Lessons about reproductive health on their phones and then invite their village women and girls in small groups to hear that content together and follow it up with a discussion. Our chatbot has already reached 500+ villages through our digital champions.
